Citizens of Bangladesh continued to remain frightened due to intermittent firing in the border districts of Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar inside Myanmar on Monday.

Authorities shifted the SSC exam center from Ghumdhum High School in Bandarban’s Naikhongchari border to two government primary schools three kilometers away due to security risks due to the ongoing conflict in Myanmar.

Meanwhile, Judge Srigyan Tanchangya of the senior judicial magistrate court of Cox’s Bazar granted three-day remand to 22 of the 23 armed Rohingyas.

Local people and public representatives detained the Rohingyas on 6 February when they were entering Bangladesh through Rahmater Beel border. The local people handed them over to the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
