SSC results of Dhaka government schools: Some GPA-5 holders, reasons revealed

Apart from this, less students of Tejgaon Government High School, which is about two kilometers away from this school, scored GPA-5. 243 students appeared for the examination from this school, out of which 237 passed. And, 34 of them achieved GPA-5. Last year, 49 students from this school got GPA-5.

School head teacher Shaheen Khan said, this time there were less candidates from the science stream. This may be a reason for fewer students with GPA-5.

Analysis of the results of government secondary schools of Dhaka city shows that except three-four schools, all the remaining schools have very few students who have obtained GPA-5.

However, except for two-three government schools, the pass rate in state-owned educational institutions is more than 90 percent.

In Dhaka city, there are 39 government secondary schools and three branches (called feeder branches), which are ahead of private schools in terms of facilities and infrastructure. But the results of private schools, especially the percentage of students getting GPA-5, are better than government schools.
