Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) organized a protest rally around Kakrail, Bijoy Nagor, Shegun Bagicha areas of the capital on Sunday afternoon, condemning the recently announced election programme, a press release said.
Party joint convenor Abdul Wahab Minar said that the unelected government is pushing the country towards civil war. The puppet Election Commission has been used as a tool to realize the regime’s goal of holding phased elections. While the ruling party is celebrating the sale of its party’s nomination papers, law enforcement agencies have forcibly closed the BNP office.
