According to the UNB report, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chaudhry Abdullah Al-Mamoon warned on Saturday that any attempt to worsen the law and order situation ahead of national elections in the country would be met with stern action.
He said this while talking to reporters at Sylhet Police Line on Saturday afternoon.
The IGP said that the police is now fully capable of maintaining law and order at the time of elections including city elections.
