A massive 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Sabah state on Malaysia’s Borneo island early Monday, US seismologists said.
The US Geological Survey said the quake’s epicenter was located 100 kilometers (62 miles) northeast of the coastal state capital Kota Kinabalu at a depth of 619.8 kilometers.
