Sugar is now becoming available in the market following an increase in supply against the demand.
Refiners are also selling sugar on trucks at different places at a rate of Tk.65 per Kg.
Yesterday, the retail price of sugar has come down to Tk. 64-67 at Karwan Bazaar, New Market.
The market got the momentum after two refiners delivered sugar in the market.
Just a few days ago retailers tagged that there is no sugar at the shop.The price of sugar was Tk.75-75 and at some places it was Tk 80.
Two refiners that were supposed to come into operation in the early next month resumed their production from yesterday. This has cooled the volatile market.
