Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) are the border security force of Bangladesh and India respectively. The relation between the two forces was not always at the level as it should be. Many times BSF tried to take some portion of Bangladesh territory, ignorance of international law, shooting unarmed civilians including innocent farmers in the border areas by BSF are common.
Security experts have always suggested that as Bangladesh and India are two friendly country relationship and cooperation between the border guard forces should be improved.
Bangladesh is observing its 41st anniversary of victory in 1971, which was cooperated by the Indian government and army. To observe the day Bangladesh Border Guard Joypurhat 3 Battalion have given some sweetmeat to their Indian counterpart. BGB officials said, it was done as a sign of friendship between the two forces.
