Mentioning that Bangladesh has export potential, Syed Naseem Manzoor said, “Global brands like Walmart and Nike moved to shift their manufacturing facilities from China because manufacturing is becoming difficult in that country, and we need that. One has to make oneself capable to take hold of the business. We have to attract foreign investors.”
Emphasizing on the export diversification policy, he said, “Vietnam requires filling a two-page form to release raw materials for customs, while Bangladesh needs to fill 12 pages, and we need to streamline this process. “It should be made easier.”
