Four fire fighting units later arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire at around 10:52 pm using foam and other equipment. Shafikul said a preliminary investigation suggested it was an accidental fire, but the cause was not immediately clear.
The fire broke out in two oil tanker trucks at around 10:12 am, said Shahjahan Shikdar, deputy assistant director of the media cell of the fire service and civil defense headquarters. On information, four fire engines reached the spot and doused the fire. However, the cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately.
