Cold wave forecast: Relief likely for Dhaka and eight other places, says Bangladesh Meteorological Department

The ongoing mild to moderate cold wave over Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and Moulvibazar, Barishal, Bhola and Cumilla districts may continue as mild cold wave and subside at some places. Secondary level educational institutions will be kept closed in districts where the temperature drops below 17 degrees Celsius. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued guidelines in this regard. According to the guidelines, secondary schools may be closed in districts where the temperature drops below 17 degrees Celsius.

The lowest temperature was recorded at 9.6 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, the district is in the grip of cold wave.
