Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal Airport is used for civil and military dual use. An aircraft ACR-72 of Royal Thai Air Force skidded off from the Hazrat Shahjalal Airport runway while it was trying to land yesterday morning. At that time there were fifteen people on board and at least three of them were injured in this incident. The aircraft skidded off as soon as it landed on the taxiway. That taxiway is reserved for military purposes. Departure and landing of flights were suspended for half an hour. The chief safety officer of the airport said nothing severe happened and luckily the engine did not caught fire. Fire brigade personnel rushed there but they were told that no help is required. It is said that the pilot could not control the aircraft due to high speed. There was another report that technical fault or lack of skill of the pilot may the reason of the accident.
