Additionally, movement of vehicles including taxicabs, microbuses, pickup vans, trucks, launches and engine-powered boats will remain prohibited in the electoral areas for 24 hours from 12:00 am on January 7.
However, the restrictions will not be effective on national highways. Also, restrictions can be relaxed for some more vehicles as per need and reality through empowerment of District Magistrates or Police Commissioners.
