Planning Minister MA Mannan, Minister of State for Planning Shamsul Alam, BIDS Director General Binayak Sen and BBS Director General Matiur Rahman, among others attended the data release event.
The Sixth National Census and House Enumeration activities began simultaneously across the country on 15 June and continued till 28 June.
According to a summary released in July by the BBS, women outnumber men in the country. The data shows that around 83.35 million females live in the country as compared to 81.71 million males.
