The Meteorological Department has forecast severe cold in some parts of the country towards the end of winter.
Tentulia in Panchagarh recorded the lowest temperature of 14.2 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
Meteorologist Shahnaz Sultana said the sky in the last half of the Bengali month of Magh, which is the last month of winter, is likely to be cloudy with dry weather.
There can be a difference of 1-3°C in night and day temperatures, while fog is likely to occur late at night and early in the morning.
