Speaking at the event, BCB ad-hoc committee chairman Tamim Iqbal reflected on the history of such awards.
He recalled that in 2005, when Bangladesh achieved its historic first Test win against Zimbabwe, his brother and former national cricketer Nafees Iqbal was awarded a car for his performance.
Tamim expressed confidence that reviving the tradition of awarding vehicles will provide a significant thrill for the players.
