Dhaka witnessed a cloudy sky since morning along with a cool breeze, leading to a slight drop in the temperature in the city. However, there is no information of rain in the capital so far.
Since the beginning of May, severe heatwave conditions have been prevailing in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, a low pressure area emerged over the Bay of Bengal.
The low pressure intensified into a depression on May 7. After this, the temperature started falling in different parts of the country including Dhaka. The temperature of the capital was recorded at 35.5 degree Celsius on Saturday. The maximum temperature of the country was recorded at 38.5 degree Celsius today.
