The US had announced a new visa policy for Bangladesh in May to help conduct free and fair elections in the country. On Friday, the US State Department said it has started taking steps to impose visa restrictions on Bangladeshi individuals.

Abdur Razzaq said, “Elections will lead to elections. The government is and will support them. We have a favorable environment here. “The election will be held as per the Constitution and the election will be free and fair.”
