At one point in the meeting, just before the MLA’s speech, Sathi Muktadir, organizing secretary of the upazila unit, said, “Is the meeting that has been called between the MLA and Awami League leaders and workers in today’s extended meeting a decision of the party? Was? Has the party included Barrister Suman? If not, why would we exchange views with them?” Following his comments, chaos broke out among the participating leaders and workers.
Upazila president Akbar Hussain then tried to pacify the party people and informed them that today’s meeting was called on the decision of the district Awami League. Apart from this, the MLA also wanted to exchange ideas with party leaders and workers.
