According to the UNB report, the police have arrested three people in connection with the rape and murder of a mentally challenged woman in Govainghat Upazila of the district.
Those arrested were Jabbar Miya, son of Jalil Miya of Mujibnagar village, Bachchu Miya, son of Barek Miya of the same village and Sebul Miya, son of Harunur Rashid of Budhigaon Haur village, all residents of the Upazila.
District Police’s Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Gowainghat Circle) Prabas Kumar Singha informed about this by holding a press conference at Gowainghat police station on Tuesday afternoon.
