Reckless driving has injured three people in the capital today. Two female rickshaw passengers were on their way, at that time a bus of Shuvojatra transport collided with the rickshaw at kadam fountain junction near High Court at around quarter past two PM toady. The rickshaw puller and two passengers of the rickshaw were injured.
The rickshaw puller was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and two female passengers were admitted Addin hospital.
The rickshaw and the bus are taken to Shahbagh police station. But the driver of the bus managed to flee after in incident. ASI of Shahbagh police station confirmed this to media.
Name of the rickshaw puller is Farid, but named of the two injured female passengers is not known.
Road safety has been a burning issue in Bangladesh. Many experts blame reckless driving and inexperienced driving for growing number of casualties in road accident. Some novice drivers even do not know traffic laws well. They learned driving from their seniors and then managed fake driving license.
