TikTok, the social media platform famous for bite-sized videos of pranks and dances, said on Friday it was working harder to comply with EU rules after the bloc’s leaders demanded more effort from the firm.
TikTok, whose parent company ByteDance is Chinese, is already facing calls for a ban in the US over its ties to Beijing, and is now under intense scrutiny in the European Union.
The block’s top executives recently accused the platform of failing to deal with problems related to access to data, copyright and harmful content.
