One of the four deceased women has so far been identified as Salma Zaman, 35, of Pallabi, Mirpur in Dhaka, as the other deceased passengers are estimated to be between 50 and 55 years of age.
Three other passengers of the microbus going from Dhaka to Tekerhat were also seriously injured in the accident.
Shafiqul Islam, deputy director of Madaripur fire service and civil defense department, said police and fire service personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
