Bangladesh Railway will sell advance train ticket from 2nd October to 6th October. Tickets of 11th October to 15th October will be sold under the advance selling program in a bid to curb the sufferings of home bound people who will travel to meet their families at home during the Eid ul Azha. Tickets of all classes will be sold under the scheme.
Bangladesh Railway director general Abu Taher met journalists at his office today. He said, railway will operate nine special trains on busy routes. These special trains will move from 6th October to 11th October. Besides these, eight special trains will operate on various routes linking Sholakia of Kishorganj, where largest Eid prayer of the region is held.
Railway takes some steps for home going people in every eid. But that fails to meet the demand. People travel on rooftop of packed train. People are injured falling from rooftop of running train. Railway is popular in the country as it is cheap and relatively safe mode of transportation.
