An oil industry source told Reuters the KRG was pumping 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) and Iraq’s federal government was pumping 75,000 bpd through the pipeline.
An MNR statement said oil exports would resume “after careful inspection of pipelines is finalised”.
Most upstream oil producers have several days of storage capacity, so KRG production should continue to rise in the near term, the oil industry source said.
Azerbaijan
Regarding the flow of Azeri crude oil to Turkey, two sources said there was no damage at the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) terminal, but one of the sources said an inspection would take place in the next 1-2 days.
The second source said Ceyhan and Baku have enough storage capacity and the flow could be reduced if needed.
The eastern Mediterranean terminal of Ceyhan is about 155 km (96 mi) from the epicenter of the earthquake.
