Two aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed

Local officials said on Saturday that two Indian Air Force fighter jets crashed in the state of Madhya Pradesh and neighboring Rajasthan.

“I can confirm that two aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed in our jurisdiction,” said AK Verma, a local administrator in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It was not immediately clear what caused the jet to crash.

Another local administrator, Ankit Asthana, said two of the three crew members from one of the jets were rescued and taken to hospital. The condition of the third crew member was not immediately clear, while no details were released about the crew of the second aircraft.
