Two factions of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) clashed with attacks, counter-attacks and crude bomb blasts on the Rajshahi University (RU) campus last night.
The clash started around 11:30 pm in the complex between Shaheed Suhrawardy Hall and Madar Bux Hall and continued till 2:30 am.
Both the groups chased each other with local weapons including knives and sticks. However, there were no casualties from the incident.
The conflicting groups are led by BCL's RU unit president Mustafizur Rahman and its joint general secretary and Suhrawardy Hall unit president Nez Morshed.
Apart from them, followers of Asadullahil Ghalib, general secretary of RU unit BCL, were seen assisting the faction led by the RU president.
