UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon left Dhaka for Bangkok today (Wednesday) ending his three day visit in Bangladesh. Yesterday he expressed his interest in conducting next general election in free and fair way. UN will be able to help in the next election by providing technical and logistic support.
During his visit, he had talks with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the opposition leader Khaleda Zia.
When he was asked about his stance about caretaker government, he told that he should not comment on internal affairs of any country as UN chief.
He also mentioned about the last election and the movement of Bangladesh towards democracy.
