Police Headquarters on Sunday directed the field level police officers to expose the facts behind the murder cases under strict vigil and bring the criminals to book.
These instructions were given in the monthly crime review meeting organized at the police headquarters on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Additional Inspector General of Police (Crime and Campaign) Mohd. Atiqul Islam did.
All the Metropolitan Police Commissioners, Range DIGs and District level Superintendents of Police (SPs) participated in the meeting virtually.
DIG (Crime Management) YM Belalur Rahman, DIG (Operations) Mohd Haider Ali Khan and other concerned officers were present at the Police Headquarters.
During the meeting, AIG (Crime Analysis) Sunanda Rai presented information about the overall situation of crimes like robbery, dacoity, theft, burglary, murder, unnatural death, road accident, atrocities on women in the country in the month of October this year. and children, rape, seizures of drugs and weapons, etc.
After reviewing the data of various cases, it was informed in the meeting that the number of cases registered in such crimes has decreased in October as compared to the previous month of September.
