The petition is expected to be heard by an HC bench of Justice Raziq-Al-Jalil and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury.
The secretaries of the Ministry of External Affairs, Finance Ministry and Commerce Ministry were made respondents in the writ petition.
According to the writ petition, the trade agreement has failed to protect the economic sovereignty and public welfare of the country and was signed without following the procedures mandated by the Constitution.
