In addition, the BSC is maintaining contact with the ship through regular virtual meetings. A control room has been constituted at BSC Headquarters at Chattogram to provide necessary assistance to the sailors and their families.
He said that to maintain the mental strength of the sailors, supply of high quality food and essential commodities has been ensured through additional supplies.
The minister said the Bangladesh Embassy in Dubai is aware of the matter and is in touch round the clock.
Besides, local agents and expatriate Bangladeshi entrepreneurs have also been kept ready to provide assistance as and when needed, he said.
