Foreign Minister Hassan Mahmoud has criticized the United States (US) for vetoing a resolution raised in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Speaking to reporters at the Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday afternoon, he described the issue as 'disappointing'.
The External Affairs Minister said that not only are women and children being killed indiscriminately in Gaza, but all basic supply systems, including water and electricity, are also being systematically disrupted.
Hospitals are being raided and human rights are being grossly violated, which is a clear violation of international law.
