He called upon all, irrespective of party affiliations, to play their due role in establishing democracy and rule of law in the country by showing due respect to the Constitution.
He said that the Bangladesh Supreme Court since its inception has been playing a very important role as the guardian and protector of the Constitution during peace and crisis, as well as protecting human rights and ensuring justice.
Hamid expressed hope, “The judges, being accountable to the country, its people and the Constitution, will use their talents and wisdom to ensure the rule of law and justice.”
