Of this, 43.94 billion taka was spent on vaccines, 308.8 million taka on syringes and an additional 195.7 million taka was spent on distributing vaccines and syringes in different areas of the country. The cost of shipping the syringes alone was Tk 9.98 million.
The minister further said that so far, no complaints of irregularities regarding vaccine procurement have been filed with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
However, the government is committed to transparency and accountability. If any specific complaint is received, it will be duly reviewed and appropriate action will be taken.
