A cover van driver was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Nankara of Chowddagram upazila in Comilla district Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Md Yousuf, 45, of Fulernaori village of the upazila.
Chowddagram police station officer-in-charge Quamrul Islam said the accident had taken place when a Comilla-bound cover van had rammed into a Chittagong-bound passenger bus, leaving Yousuf dead on the spot. On information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
