On working on the film, Vikrant previously told ANI, “This film is a very typical Vidhu Vinod Chopra film, which is based on tough reality and is a very tough film. The role was very challenging. I had to lose weight. And my skin was to be blackened.”
The film received worldwide appreciation. Industry stars including Kamal Haasan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Rishabh Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor also praised the film. ’12th Fail’ was released in theaters on 27 October.
