According to the department, there is a high risk of earthquake in Rangpur, Dhaka, Kumilla and parts of Chattogram hill areas as well as in Sylhet and Mymensingh regions.
Dhaka, Manikganj, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Kumilla, Chandpur, Feni, Noakhali, Pabna, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Rajshahi, Natore, and Chapainwabganj along with Chattogram, Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar districts are at moderate earthquake risk.
In the southern region, the entire Khulna and Barisal divisions are at low risk of earthquakes.
