Since the average toll collection per vehicle now stands at Taka 82, it is understandable that no significant number of buses or trucks passed through the expressway during the three days.
According to experts, city dwellers generally commute short distances and Dhaka is no exception. Since there is a lack of bus stops at kilometer 11 on the expressway, commuters with destinations in the middle of the route appropriately avoid this facility. In addition, there is the additional cost of tolls.
There are 15 ramps to enter or exit the expressway at a distance of 11 km. Of these, two ramps are in the airport area, three in Kuril, four in Banani, three in Mohakhali, two in Bijoy Sarani and one in Farmgate area. However, two ramps at Mohakhali and Banani will be launched later.
