When asked about the next national elections, the ambassador said, “As diplomats, we are naturally interested in the internal situation in the country where we work. I have worked in Germany before, and I Stayed updated with the internal situation and politics there. My colleague, during his tenure in the United States, was also aware of the internal politics. This is very normal.”
To a question about bilateral relations with Bangladesh, the Japanese ambassador said that his country has been Bangladesh’s development partner for more than 50 years.
“Bangladesh had many governments during this period. Some of them may have good relations (with Japan) and some may not. But I don’t know that. Japan has been a partner in Bangladesh’s development in the past and will be in the future as well.
