There were reports of rain in many parts of the country on Friday also. Maximum rainfall of 5 mm was recorded in Hatia of Noakhali and Mongla of Bagerhat. Besides, Patuakhali, Sandwip in Chattogram and Satkhira recorded around 4 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, around 1 mm rain was recorded in some areas of Jashore, Khulna, Cumilla, Rangamati, Chattogram, Madaripur and some areas. There has been light rain in Faridpur and Barishal.
Speaking to Prothom Alo over phone last night, BMD meteorologist MD Umar Farooq said there is no chance of rain in the near future. The clouds have cleared, leading to a drop in temperatures and this is likely to continue. So the outbreak of cold will increase further across the country.
