According to the fire service, the fire broke out at 2:28 am on Saturday in a slum located opposite Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC). Around 13 units of the fire service brought the fire under control at around 3:40 am.
Irshad Hussain, the officer on duty at the fire service control room, informed Prothom Alo about bringing the fire under control at around 3:45 am. However, there was no news of any casualties at that time.
