During the marriage ceremony in Pirgachha of Rangpur, the police arrested a young woman for allegedly stabbing her father’s neck with a knife for forcibly getting her married.
Father Fazal Haque is a police officer.
Sub-inspector Anisur Rahman of Peergacha police station said on Sunday that they have arrested the main accused Farzana Akhtar Shammi (22) and another suspect after her father Fazal Haque registered a case against four people.
Anisur refused to name the other accused.
