Barrister Syed Syedul Haq Suman, a former prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) and popular social media personality submitted the writ petition on the green signal of the High Court to Justice Mohammad Nazrul Islam Talukdar and Justice Khizir Hayat.
Seven persons, including the Secretary of Local Government and Rural Development Cooperatives, Secretary of Public Administration, were made respondents in the writ petition.
The court can hear the petition this week.
Barrister Suman said that Takseem A Khan has been working as the Managing Director of WASA for the last 13 years since 2009.
