At the beginning of the book launch event, Marina Yasmin, Coordinator of Prothoma Prokashon, introduced Professor Vincent Chang and his illustrious career, his struggles, his academic excellence, his multifaceted vocation, his commitment to education and, of course, the book. Encompasses his innumerable experiences. He said that taking on the responsibility of editing and publishing such a book was an exciting and difficult task, but the end result was rewarding and inspiring.
Anisul Haq, managing editor of Prothom Alo, in conversation with Vincent Chang, said that the book 'Vincent of Bangladesh' has made a place close to his heart. He said it was a fascinating book, especially as the author emphasized that one should listen to the heart rather than the head. The book was full of anecdotes and interesting tidbits and Anisul Haq shared some of these with the event attendees.
Saimun Alam, an alumnus of BRAC University and the book's editor, said, “Working with Vincent Chang was like a dream. He was unconventional and the details of his life are mind-blowing.”
Senior journalists from Prothom Alo and Prothoma were present at the event. They participated in an interactive session with Professor Vincent Chang.
