Jeff Ridenour, information officer and spokesperson for the US Embassy in Dhaka, told the young participants at the event how important it is to differentiate not only between fake news and the truth, but also between news and opinion.
He thanked BIPSS and EMK for organizing the workshop.
In the concluding remarks, Major General ANM Muniruzzaman (Retd.), President, BIPSS told the youth that it is of utmost importance to be aware of the spread of misinformation around as they are the future of the country, of the world. They needed to understand, analyze and build resistance against such misinformation as responsible citizens.
