Zero pass rate for MPO-empanelled madrassas prompt show cause notice

When asked, Mohammad Zakir Hussain, Deputy Director (Administration), Directorate of Madrassa Education, told Prothom Alo that they have taken the initiative to send show cause notices to institutes with zero pass rate. Further steps will be taken after getting their reply.

This year’s SSC and equivalent exam results were published on July 28. This time more than 20 lakh (2,041,450) students from 29,714 educational institutions across the country appeared in the exam. Of these, around 1.6 million (1,641,140) students passed.

This time none of the total 48 educational institutions passed the exam. And 41 of these institutions are madrassas. Last year also not a single candidate from 41 madrassas could pass the examination.
