Grameen Phone, Rabi, Banglalink and Airtel are going to introduce 3G network. In a recent auction of BTRC these four operators are awarded 10 Mega Hertz, 5 Mega Hertz, 5 Mega Hertz, 5 Mega Hertz, respectively to operate 3G.

Rabi declared similar project. However, Rabi has decided to introduce 3.5 G which is in between 3G and 4G .Existing Rabi subscribers need not replace their existing SIM to avail 3.5 G.
Rabi has already deposited Taka 525 crore out of Taka 816 crore to the government and applied for NOC to buy equipments.
