The awardees, who attended in person as well as digitally, also spoke and thanked the Embassy sincerely for the recognition.
Sending valuable dispatches, Ambassador Ahsan warmly congratulated all the award winners while acknowledging the significant contribution being made by the Bangladeshi diaspora to the boom of the country’s economy.
The ambassador said the establishment of diplomatic relations soon after independence by Bangladesh’s founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman paved the way for sending workers abroad.
Paying tributes to Bangabandhu, Ahsan said that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a migrant-friendly government and highlighted the major steps taken by the government.
