A government minister listed BCCI’s recent earnings in Parliament on Tuesday, showing revenue of $919 million and expenditure of $370 million for the year till March 2022, leaving a surplus of $549 million.
It was the board’s biggest surplus in five years to 2017-18, with earnings of $3.3 billion and expenses of $1.8 billion in the same period.
The almighty BCCI is often said to dominate world cricket because of its immense wealth compared to other national cricket boards.
