Meanwhile, the BNP launched a week-long “Save the Country, Save the People” leaflet distribution program across the country on 13 February, which will end on 19 February. The six-party ‘Gantantra Manch’ organized a procession and rally in Dhaka on Friday to protest against ‘bank looting and money looting’. Nagorik Oikya launched a mass campaign in Dhaka on 20 January titled “Collective signatures for democracy, not farce elections”. Apart from this, 12-party alliance, Liberal Democratic Party, Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party, Bangladesh Gono Adhikar Parishad and other parties are organizing various programs to protest against the election of ‘Fars’ by this government.
“We will talk to other parties about how the movement can be reorganized,” Saiful Haq, a top leader of the Republic Forum and general secretary of the Biplobi Workers Party, told Prothom Alo. We have already held a meeting with BNP on January 13 and will meet again.”
