During the tour of the venue in the evening, some central leaders and a large number of genuine opposition workers were seen manning the western block of the Maidan. They were raising different slogans while standing in a gallery.
Till evening there was no microphone or megaphone installed. There were many lampposts around the field, but there was no light in them. However, the ground was lit up in no time with several lights being installed in the gallery.
BNP leaders Aman Ullah Aman and Nipun Roy Chowdhury were seen from the gallery enthusing their workers with various slogans.
Mamoon reached the program venue from Maniknagar around 6 pm. In a conversation with Prothom Alo, Mamoon said that he saw many BNP men gathering at Golbagh Maidan on Facebook Live. This prompted him to join the people of BNP.
